Senate gave a blank check to Christie

The New Jersey Senate approved $400 million in spending for transportation projects, giving Republican Governor Chris Christie a blank check to spend in his final year without legislative oversight.

The money has no strings attached, so the GOP governor can squander it because Democrats in the Legislature did not allocate specific projects for funding.

Stop Governor Christie from spending $400 million until lawmakers debate and decide where the money should go to achieve the best results.
